Forget boring conference rooms. We’re opening a space in Karlín where technology meets hospitality, turning every event into an unforgettable experience. In a new interview, Petr Svoboda, Head of Event Sales & Production, introduces Perner.Experience.
Why did you decide to create such a large event space right inside an office building?
It’s not just an event space; the entire floor is designed as an Experience Zone so that every event participant leaves with a memorable experience. Since we’re taking this experiential approach for our clients in the offices as well, it made sense to open the Perner.Experience spaces to external clients during events.
What does the Perner.Experience space have to offer?
In addition to the main event hall for up to 300 people, it also features a garden ideal for networking. There’s also a club suitable for VIP meetings or after-parties, a private cinema, the Harmony Room—where wellness programs like yoga or Pilates can take place—and a central space for workshops or cooking classes.
What kind of events do you envision at PernerKarlín? What events would you really like to see there someday?
Given the versatility of the space and the excellent technical facilities, I can imagine almost any event taking place there—from conferences to large VIP gala dinners or corporate parties. Personally, I’d love to see a full calendar of events at PernerKarlín, especially with satisfied and returning clients.
If you had to name one thing that defines events at PernerKarlín, what would it be?
It’s definitely the experience! We want our clients to leave PernerKarlín with a memorable experience above all else, regardless of the type of event.
How does technology help transform PernerKarlín from an office into a venue for large events or community gatherings?
Modern technology is an integral part of every event—it’s absolutely essential. At PernerKarlín, we’ve really thought this through, from the cinema hall to the 360° AI camera.
Is there any detail in the workspace that most people don’t even notice, but you know has a big impact on the atmosphere?
From my perspective (as an event manager 🙂), it’s the approach of the entire Scott.Weber team toward clients, whether it’s the front office or the event team, because this client service is crucial for positive feedback and satisfied clients.
In your opinion, how is the atmosphere in Karlín different from, say, Smíchov, Pankrác, or Holešovice?
Karlín is unique thanks to its combination of historical character, experience with devastating floods, and current dynamic development, particularly the construction of office buildings complemented by stylish establishments. Another characteristic feature is the grid-like street layout and the area’s natural boundaries—it is bordered on all sides by the Vltava River, Vítkov Hill, and the Magistrála highway. It is precisely these factors that make Karlín a unique place, where we are now opening our fourth location.
